Aranya Kantha Cocktail Purse

As part of our endeavor to support and empower Women Artisans, we collaborate with Artisans in rural India, who practice the age old craft of Nakshi Kantha. A craft that originated in homes, repurposing old sarees to make embroidered quilts, has a more refined and evolved form, known as Nakshi Kantha.

Our unique Cocktail Purses are made using beautiful Silk fabrics with meticulous detail in Nakshi Kantha embroidered patterns. Inspired by the ancient Vedic "potli" bags and the European "Reticule" Bags, when women's fashion accessories evolved into a more liberated form.

This product is made in collaboration with Kantha Revivalist/Artist Neelanjana Ghose.
